Who we are

My name is Ellam, and I’m a PACFA-Registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist with a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I work with individuals and couples experiencing a range of complex challenges, including stress and anxiety, substance use and addiction, relationship difficulties, emotional dysregulation, and trauma. I also support individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who may be navigating additional layers of pressure, identity, and adjustment.

My practice is grounded in a Person Centered and Trauma-Informed approach, creating a collaborative and supportive space where your experiences, strengths, and goals are at the forefront. I draw on evidence-based modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), somatic approaches, mindfulness-based strategies, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Our sessions would be paced to your needs and designed to foster self-awareness, resilience, and sustainable change.

Our sessions can be either in-person or online. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your needs and determine whether I’m the right fit to support you. If you’d like to book a session, please email contact@thewillowtherapy.com or reach out to me directly at ellam@thewillowtherapy.com or call at 0416172986.

I am Maggie, ACA registered counsellor with a migrant background from Europe, offering therapeutic support to individuals across a wide range of presenting issues. My clinical experience includes working with alcohol and other drug-related concerns, as well as supporting clients through life transitions, relationship and family difficulties, career and lifestyle challenges, and mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression.

I utilise an integrative approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am also undertaking advanced training in somatic-based therapy to further enhance my work with clients who have experienced trauma.

My practice is trauma-informed and incorporates mindfulness-based strategies, including elements of yoga, breathwork, and meditation, to support emotional regulation and overall wellbeing. I am committed to providing an inclusive and culturally sensitive therapeutic environment, and I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and communities.
